  • Ulli K. Ryder

    Ulli K. Ryder, Ph.D., has more than 20 years of experience as an educator and strategic leader. She consults regularly with clients to ensure informed and future-thinking decision making in all areas of their organizations. She also teaches regularly in the areas of Women’s & Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, and U.S. History. Her expertise has been sought by institutions such as Harvard University, University of Southern California, UCLA, Brown University, Simmons University, and the University of Rhode Island. She has contributed to media outlets such as WGBH Boston, MSNBC, The New York Times, and HuffPost. She is the editor (with Marcia A. Dawkins, Ph.D.) of Mixed Race 3.0: Risk and Reward in the Digital Age (Annenberg Press, 2015). She has served as Director of Intercultural Student Engagement at Rhode Island School of Design.

    Julie Talbutt, MSW, MAT, is a facilitator, trainer, and educator with more than 20 years of experience in needs assessment, program development, and strategic planning. Her work focuses on creating inclusive environments and communities by supporting cultural change. Julie is an experienced writer, editor, and speaker across a spectrum of formats and audiences. In addition to expertise in curriculum design and evaluation, Julie has a background in legislative advocacy, leadership development, and non-profit governance. Julie holds degrees in Psychology and Education, and is currently pursuing a clinical social work degree. She has served as the Assistant Dean for Student Support at Rhode Island School of Design.
